Description of Project: The existing bridge was a single span (30’c-c) poured in place slab on vertical abutments on spread footings. The existing bridge superstructure had deteriorated badly and scour had compromised both abutments.
Description of Project: PCS Engineers was responsible for the maintenance of traffic and traffic signal design on the BRT Redline project. Design elements included MOT schematics and full development of plans for vehicular traffic maintenance as well as pedestrians and cyclists for the Cultural Trail. Several meetings with Indianapolis DPW were held to ensure that the MOT concurred with their expectations.
Description of Project: This project included the inspection of a single lane roundabout. The total length of the approaches were approximately 1,600 feet. The total construction cost was estimated at $1.1 million.

Description of Project: This project included the inspection and design of a new dual lane urban roundabout that replaced a four way stop condition. The total length of the approaches was approximately 1,600 feet and included incorporating the Plainfield Trail system into the design. Six new right of way parcel “takes” were also required. The estimated construction cost was $1.5 million.
Description of Project: This project entails the reconstruction of the Crawfordsville Road/16th Street/Georgetown Road Intersection in Speedway, IN. The work includes construction of realigned approach pavements, dual lane roundabout construction, decorative concrete pavers, storm sewers, curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, grading, paving, swales, private drives, public road approach, lighting, landscaping, striping, MOT, erosion control and signage. The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $5,200,000.
Description of Project: This project included the inspection and design of a new single lane urban roundabout. The total length of the approaches was approximately 2,900 feet and included 20 new right of way parcel “takes”. The estimated construction cost was $1.3 million.
Description of Project: PCS Engineers participated in the inspection of 3,400’ of reconstructed Morris Street and a 655’ bridge over White River in Indianapolis, IN. The new roadway consisted of 4 travel lanes, curb and gutter and 6’ sidewalks on either side of the roadway.
Uniqueness: The Indiana Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association awarded PCS Engineers the “Excellence in Concrete Pavement Award” in the category“Municipal Streets & Intersections, Greater than 30,000 Square Yards” for their design of this project. Awarded on March 24, 2009.
